In Bangladesh, a large number of people from indigenous communities are unaware of primary health facilities. Unavailability in the proximity clouded their idea of regular healthcare and made them indifferent to most of the common health issues. Also, poverty plays its part that prevents them from going for regular check-ups. The general condition of the Santal community is no different.

Intending to generate the idea of health consciousness in them, we arranged the tribal meeting in the presidency of their tribal head. The awareness session consisted of a question-answer round, where people could share their queries on primary health and hygiene issues, with our medical team.
