In rural areas of Bangladesh, nearly 95% of the elderly population still believe that cataract is also an inevitable circumstance like aging, and there is nothing to do about that. Also, some children born with an eye problem, grow with their defects. This egg of unawareness and ignorance hatches from generation to generation. Eventually, all these conditions remain untreated.
KHEA Foundation collaborated with Splendor Low Vision & Rehabilitation Center to arrange free awareness-raising programs for such elderlies and children with eye defects. To make them aware of primary eye care, and common eye diseases, a lecture session was conducted. And their difficulties were attended by the medical team.
